Can i buy and then sell immediately with sedo? I mean i buy through sedo(their partner 1 & 1) and then can i sell immediately through sedo auctions?
Which is better for buying and reselling?
You cannot sell most kinds of domain names (com/net/org etc) during the first 60 days after registration because there is a rule forbidding such transfers. You may be able to get the sale set up during that 60 days and THEN transfer it, but for the first 60 days of registration the domain name cannot be transferred to anyone for any reason. More information on domain transfer policies can be found on the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers website at http://www.icann.org

I just got this email from blizzard. I was about to click reply with all the information but then I decided to read over it to see if it was sketchy. This is the email:

The first thing that popped to my mind after reading it is that it is indeed fake but I want to make sure. Wwhen I click reply in the "To:" box it is sending it to ………..@mail-blizzard.com which as most people know is a completely different domain name.
The 2nd thing I noticed is that the sentences do not flow on at all which makes me think of Chinese scammers. Also I would have thought it would have my name somewhere in it.
So is this a good attempt at scamming my account or is it legit?
Scam: As it says after you log into WoW, a Blizzard Employee will never ask for your password and this e-mail does just that. Plus if you were selling your account and they learned of it, they would just ban it with no questions asked. Don’t send them anything.

If you want to write about whoever on your myspace page, and include pictures of them, random strangers, buildings, etc etc,..is that okay to do or illegal without their permission, etc?
How about in published books, magazines, articles, etc?
exactly how much freedom of speech do we have?
for example I have great pictures of some houses, roadways, and some funny looking people that I’d like to post on my myspace page, but am wondering if this is okay or not?
You are allowed to write anything you want and publish acceptible photos that you either take yourself or that you own the copyright to.
Photos of people in public are perfectly legal.
You may not photograph certain places without permission; but the exteriors of buildings on public streets are allowed.
Anything copyrighted and published by others can not be reprinted in part or in whole without the permission of the copyright’s owner. Public domain items can be used, just make sure the item is in public domain.

I have recently started, what I see as a unique online business. Because I had little money I could not invest in intellectual property right etc. Within a few months of starting my business I have found somebody else has also started a very similar business.
I have checked to find when the website was registered and I have found out that the domain name was registered within a month of advertising my business! How do I find details of the owner, other than WHOIS? And what can I do about it?
There isn’t much you can do about it. Anyone can set up a business any at time. You have to make sure you are competitive and have the edge! Look at their business and see how you can improve your own!

I want to start a website that offers a centralized area for customer feedback in a particular industry. What is the best way to register a domain name? I envision being able to later sell ads/ ad space or have direct links to other sites, so that is important. Thanks in advance
I agree with Steve H. If you don’t know HOW to set-up an online business, how do you plan on running it sucessfully once it’s up and running? Try Microsoft’s Office Live. They will even do basic site hosting for little or nothing, depending on your needs. Best of luck to you…

I had my website with AT&T – www.lazoscleaning.com
This website is closed but now I wanted to use a different host. They say you can not keep this domain name if you switch. What do I do about it. I want to keep this domain but switch to some other host!
Sorry, but you don’t OWN the domain name:

In a Web Development Project, who is in charge of the followings among these three: Project Manager, Analyst or Developer
a. Domain Name Registration & Web Hosting?
b. Client Needs Analysis?
c. Service Level Agreement
d. Web Development Contract
Is it:
a. Developer?
b. Analyst?
c. Analyst?
d. Analyst?
Lol, Many People Hold This Big Understanding that web development Is something Big, Really It’s NOT, Through my years of Development, i did sites like facebook, myspace etc EVEN better ones, web development is simple the client purchase hosting — seek a developer — the developer developer the site using PHP and CSS — BANG THERE YOU GO! t you have you site, you can maintain it your self or get someone to do it, you don’t require a Analysis, Service Level Agreement, Web Development Contract ( well for some projects ).

I want to buy a name I thought of for a web site, how do I do it? Also, do you know how to, I guess trademark (I don’t know if that’s the right legal term) a name so that it’s your brand name and no one else can use it?
You can go to register.com to see if your name is available and to register it for a year.
I use lunarpages.com for my website, its very easy to use. I use microsoft frontpage program to built the actual site which is very easy if you already know microsoft word.

I can’t believe how many domain names are on ebay for 20,000,000 $ 10,000,000 $ look up Michael Jackson for example and there are so many ridiculous auctions for domain names. I don’t know how anyone could be so stupid as to buy one.
Do they really buy them? Only if they have 20 mil
Seriously, the highest price I’ve heard of was $8 million for bingo.com, and that was back during the "dot com bubble" of the late 90’s. And it wasn’t sold on eBay
