I posted a question earlier on about not being able to host my domain name in a webcity account which I already have and lots of the replies I got where that my DNS for the name was wrong. I checked this and it is NS1.WEBCITY.COM.AU and NS2.WEBCITY.COM.AU like my other domain. How do I add this domain (lotsoflollies.com) into my (schoolwork08.com) hosting in Cpanel? A tutorial would be good!
It seems that you have to add the lotsoflollies.com to your CPanel. You can find "add domain" or "add site" or "domain management" in your CPanel.
Try the documentation on official CPanel site.

I am planning on making a site with a forum and stuff that has tutorials for computer languages and/or other computer topics.
My only issue is that I am having so many issues thinking up a domain name idea.
can someone please help.
and dont reccomend domain registation sites cuz thats all i got in response last time i asked this question.
Yar, I’m in the same boat as you. I think the way to go is to just make up a two syllable word, like tizag.com

I need a good domain name that cannot be anything else than a .com and has to be available please help because i’m useless at this.
the site will be a webmasters forum witch will have a Online Community, Downloads, Tutorials, Free Web Hosting & More
My advice: don’t ask this kind of question or somebody could take a DN you would be interested. You have dedicated forums to ask this kind of questions like http://www.thednforum.com

i’ll be making a site. it will be full of layouts, graphics, tutorials, brushes, fonts and etc. i wanted to name it JAWBREAKER. i cannot change the name of tit because i have made it in myspace already and it will cost time to change evrything and i feel uncomfortable doing it. however, i’d like to know your opinion about the name. is it ok?
but my general problem is the domain name for my site. of course i want something like jawbreaker.com but it’s already taken. i tried jawbreakerlyts.com but it’s also already taken. i tried jawbreakerlayouts.com but it’s already taken. i kind of liked thejawbreaker.com so i checked for the availability and yes, it is available. is it ok for my site name and the kind of site i handle (actually, i’ll be handling)?
if it is advisable to make a new site name, is there any easy way? but if you were me, would you do it if you’ve planned for it not knowing that there’s a "domain problem" coming your way? i just want your opinion.
suggestions may also be helpful. thank you very much!
There are more top level domains than [.com]. Remember that there are top level domains like .org, or .net, or .info, or .tv. Its all in how you see it. I would suggest GoDaddy for hosting and registration as their rates are pretty low for what you get. Always strive to use linux hosting if using php as well btw.

I have been shown once how to upload my website created using Dreamweaver onto a server, but it was my college’s server, and I’m guessing that means it wasn’t the same thing that I want to do now. What I want to do now is register a domain name with godaddy.com, then upload my Dreamweaver-created site to that domain name. How do I go about doing this? Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to do it?
I see, Mr. C. Ment. This one video so far seems to be easy to follow; nice, thanks!
Hi! perhaps if I talk you through how to do this you might follow the logic behind the whole thing and get a better understanding of the actual process?
Once you register your domain name with a company – regardless who they are, they will furnish you with 3 things that you will need,
1. The ftp address of their server ( File Transfer Protocol is just the the name of a type of program that allows you to upload your web pages to a remote server)
2. Your ftp login name
3. Your password for the ftp program
Without going into the fancy stuff that Dreamweaver can do as I am not sure how much you know about it, I will just take you through how to upload your files.
Once you have created your web pages and saved them, I tend to save my file to my desktop as they are easy to find there.
Open up your ftp program, they are all generally pretty much the same.
They are usually split into 2 windows – the left one will show you all the files on your system – the right hand side shows the files on the remote server. You will see , usually, two arrows between these windows- one pointing to the left (your system) the other pointing to the right (the remote server) Lets start by uploading your index.htm page. You must highlight the file you want to upload – in this case index.htm. Once you have highlighted this file click on the arrow facing the to the right. This will upload the file to the remote server and once completed you will see it appear on the list of files on the remote server. If your index page has graphics you will have to upload these to. Now check your page as you go along for you do not want to upload loads of stuff and find out there is a problem. If you find that your graphics don’t appear on your page when you view it despite the fact that the files have appeared on the remote server then go back and look at the source. Check out the path you have saved your graphic files with as you may have uploaded a path that’s on YOUR system eg
<img src="file:///C|/Documents and Settings/Iain/Desktop/header%20with%20watermark.png" > all the stuff to left of the word ‘header’ refers to a location on my system. If you find you have uploaded a graphics file with this type of path then simply remove all reference to your system – then upload it again.
Uploading files is quite easy and in fact is even easier when using Dreamweaver as it has the facility to upload your files directly to the remote server, without the need to use an independent ftp programme.
Have a play with Dreamweaver and see what it can do – it has a first class help facility which is well worth a look at.
Hope this helps and good luck!

I would like to have a small business buying and selling domain names, can you help me out? Websites or tutorials or your common knowledge
Mostly, these days it does not. If you have something that someone wants bad enough they’ll go to a lawyer to get it. I register my domain names from the ICANN registrar for $8/year.
I also have a service I subscribe to that will register any other domain names I want as soon as the owner lets them lapse. 2 seconds of non-renewal and it’s mine.
