In this video I discuss an absolutely essential topic in Domain Investing – understanding how much your domains are really worth. Many new Domainers will oftentimes register hundreds of domains thinking they are all worth thousands or tens of thousands of dollars. In many cases, if the domain was still available to register – it is not worth much for than the reg fee you paid – or could be worth even less! So how can you determine how much your domains are worth? This is not as hard as you might think. In fact, the process is very similar to that which real estate investors use – find the selling price of domains similar to yours. There are two great tools available online for doing this – the first is DNJournal.com that keeps a Domain Sales list, and the second is NameBio which will let you search for specific keywords in a domain name and see corresponding sales. By having realistic price expectations you can not only sell more domains, but show a buyer why your domain is worth the price you are expecting. Watch this video and start selling for your domains for what they are really worth!
