I’m starting up a blog for my friend, who wants to blog about her journey with cancer and share it with other sufferers, but I haven’t been able to find any places that actually provide free domain names or redirections. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I’ve been looking all around for the answer, i found that AT&T worldnet customers do… but I have no idea what that is, I just know that I have AT&T Highspeed DSL and Want to know whether or not they offer free webspace and domain names?
We got AT&T Yahoo, and I looked for web space, but found none. They do give us 1 GB of Yahoo Briefcase, though.
Basically, it’s an inexpensive plan, so no frills.
I seriously doubt that you can get a free domain name, either.

I am looking to buy some domain names, but would like to purchase them from the same place that will host them. Is there a site out there that will allow me to purchase my domain names and get free hosting for them as well? I have already found bravehost, but would like to compare it with other similar sites. I have not been able to find any. Does anyone know of where I might be able to purchase domain names and get free hosting as well?

Many hosts will give you a real free domain name when you purchase hosting with them. It’s not all that good an idea, because they have control of the domain name in the future, not you. ?°)

I have a website in Freewebs. and my username being at the end of "freewebs.com/" sucks! can someone PLEASE tell me where i can get FREE domain names???…others mention ".co.uk" being free but i couldn’t find it. if someone knows, please tell me.

It is not possible to get a free domain name. And co.uks are not free.
My best suggestion to you is just to deal with being on freewebs until you can purchase your own domain name and hosting. If you do not want to be on a freeserver, then well, don’t have a site at all.
If this is not the answer you are looking for, then I am sorry, but really, the only answers you will get are answers like mine, and domain redirections, and stuff like that. Don’t believe me? Simply search for "free domain" in yahoo answers. I doubt that any of the other 1000+ other people who asked this same question found a free domain name. (That is not a domain redirection.)
