Is Inteno X5668 A good router to download torrents and similar things with?

We recently upgraded our Network to 10/1, considering the new speeds we were going to buy a new router as well.. but our isp provider said “Nooo.. you cant buy one yourself.. well buy you one.. that is 100% guaranteed to work 100% with your new speeds” then they made us pay overprice for the X5668 Inteno router…

… the problem is that this router keeps “messing up”, Sometimes it just disconnects at random … mostly whenever i do a lot on the internet at once (play games or download or browse a lot while doing msn and such)… i heard some rumors that the router i have is pretty bad.. and cant handle many connections and whatnot…? so im just wondering if buying a new router will stop these disconnects?

Also.. about the disconnects… they affect all the computers… so if the network is working.. i put on bitcomet or any other torrent program.. and then all of a sudden i loose the connection.. although the internet mark is still there… it just wont get any “data” (im using wired btw) for example.. the icon is standing there and it thinks its connected.. but i cant go on msn.. it wont download.. and the only thing that the browser can open is the router page…

When i run the router settings page diagnostic tool from the browser it says
_______
Test the connection to your local network
Test your LAN(1-4) Connection: PASS Help
Test your Wireless Connection: PASS Help

Test the connection to your DSL service provider
Test ADSL Synchronization: PASS Help
Test ATM OAM F5 segment ping: PASS Help
Test ATM OAM F5 end-to-end ping: PASS Help

Test the connection to your Internet service provider
Test PPP server connection: FAIL Help
Test authentication with ISP: FAIL Help
Test the assigned IP address: FAIL Help
Ping default gateway: FAIL Help
Ping primary Domain Name Server: FAIL

Usually i can stop all the stuff that uses the network and wait for about an hour then it suddenly works again.. OR i can restart the router.. which sometimes help… but only sometimes..

This is getting really annoying and whenever we call the ISP they simply say “check the lights” or send an IT guy that looks at the cables says “oh.. well this is the problem.. and now i fixed it” yet it still stays the same..

Any help at all will be appreciated because this is simply going on my nerves…

Summary : Keep loosing internet connection although the icon is still there, happens more frequently when doing stuff that needs a lot of “speed”, makes all the computers get the same problem, Inteno X5668 Router, ISP Seems reluctant to help, Always connected to the router but router isnt always giving “data” back And wondering if buying a new one will fix it..

Any help at all will be Extremely appreciated ^^ Thanks in advance..

Sorry for all the typos.. to tired to spell check ^^
Nextgentel, Norway

And Inteno X5668 is a wireless router/modem…

And im pretty sure we had almost the same problems with the last router as well..

Do the christians have a corner on the word god? Or are they just more organized with buying domain names?

I was hoping to find something more representative of all religions when I looked up god.com, god.net, and god.org …

Spirit.com is a link list, Spirit.net is a french real estate site, and spirit.org is christian based… and creator.com is "under development", creator.net is also a space holder, and the other domain redirects to a hate group….

I can’t really think of any other religion-transcending synonyms for the word and concept of "god".

… but I thought "God" transcended religions- atleast the literal meaning of the word :-)

Really, this was just a typo trying to go shopping on the site dog.com for some pet supplies … but now I’m curious :-P

Maybe I’m dense, but I don’t understand the question. Or rather the NEED for the question.

Every person in the world can register and use the domain name as they see fit. But they have to be wary of any and all "laws" affecting a domain name’s usage, especially trademark laws and those of your domain provider’s service agreement.

No one has absolute exclusivity to a domain name, nor does anyone have greater rights to it than its current name holder.

Is it illegal to buy domain names that might infringe copyright?

I would like to know if is it legal to buy certain web domans that include product names, companies or persons.
Examples:
www.iphonegames.com
www.sonycameras.com

www.youtubevideos.com
www.googleadsensetips.com
www.microsoftdrivers.com

www.angelinajoliefan.com
www.cristiano-ronaldo.com

www.microsoftsucks.com
www.paypalsucks.com

FBISecrets.com
CIASecretscom
FBI-Usa.com

What about the websites that are based on typos like: www.youtoube.com , www.yaho.com , www.panasoanic.com, www.disneysland.com and so on?

How do I know if I am allowed to create a domain that contains CIA, FBI, KGB, Iphone, Apple, MAC and other names in it?
Response to markysparky: I do not want to trademark other names, like in the case you presented! When that person trademarked 21 century fox, it wasn’t used by any company. I am talking about using names that are already trademarked, like Iphone, Apple, Coca-Cola, FBI, CIA… So could i make a website apple-store.com, drinkCoca-Cola.com, FBIrulz.com and others?

It’s not a matter of copyright; it’s a matter of trademark. If a name CONTAINS a trademark, you probably shouldn’t register it. If you registered www.microsoftsucks.com, Microsoft would most likely sue you for release of the domain, and they would most likely win. Typos are in a gray area, and it may depend on exactly what you register and how you use it. www.disneysland.com wouldn’t work because I believe "disney" alone is a trademark. You MIGHT get away with www.dissneyland.com, but some cases have successfully been brought against names that were intentionally used to cause confusion for unethical purposes (like phishing sites). There are trademark violations as well as "likeness" violations.

Why do emails sent to my friend’s military email address get returned?

I’ve tried sending an email to a friend who is in training in the U.S. military. When I send him an email I get a failure delivery email saying that delivery to the recipient failed permanently because the domain name is not found.

I’ve checked the address for typos, but it does not have any typos. the domain name is spelled correctly and everything after the @ sign is correct (XX.XX.XX@army.mil.gov). Isn’t that the format of military emails?

Anyway, I was wondering what the problem could be because I can’t think of why my emails arent reaching him.

Thanks!

my email provider is gmail, by the way.
he’s not in basic anymore and that’s the address he gave me, but I’ll try what Candie and some other people said.

the end is XXXX@us.army.mil

Registering and parking misspelled names is considered a bad practice?

I have a small portfolio and it contains misspelled names of famous companies.

I noticed some parking services must approve your portfolio prior to letting you open an account with them. So I was wondering if traffic originated from typos is considered "low quality" and if registering domain names based on spelling mistakes is generally considered a bad practice.

Nothing really wrong with it unless your usage intentions are bad. The parking service is free to deny you an account for whatever reason they see fit, but I am sure there are some that couldn’t care less.

One thing, however, is that this is a known issue with spammers, so most services will probably assume that is your intention.

How can I sell a domain name anonymously ?

I have a domain which is a good typo of a big company’s name. How can I sell it to them without revealing my identity in case they try to sue me?

That all doesn’t matter.

All they need to do is make a complaint to ICANN and take the domain away from you.

ICANN regulates american domain names.
