I know how to write HTML, but theres a man that wants me to make a website or two for his "adult" website. The website will need to have a paypal link for people to pay for their memberships. Since he has already purchased his domain name (I think he has), what are the steps I need to go about doing to create and maintain this website for him? If I need to find a hosting site, could you recommend any for me? (something that has reasonable pricing, yet not something like yahoo domains that makes you use one of their templates, or has any other types of restrictions like that)? Could somebody help me out please?
what do you mean "certain domain for adult web industry"? Could you list a link?
I have been in the adult website business for 10+ years, so here's some advice. . . .
1. You can't use paypal for adult services, including websites. I have been down that road. It will work for a few months, When you account is nice and juicy. They will limit your access, freeze your account, take half of your money for account fees and hold the other half for 6 months. If you need a good processor for an adult site, go to http://www.ccbill.com
2. Make sure your host allows adult content. There is nothing worse that not reading the fine print and having your site deleted after a week. go to http://www.actionhosts.com - I use them for about 90% of my sites. Many, many, many options.
3. If you have any further questions and want answers (not guesses) drop me a line amateur_designs@yahoo.com

One of the best ways top article marketers drive pre-targeted traffic to their Websites is by submitting quality articles to popular article submission sites.
Article submission sites are Websites that function as article directories or article banks. Most of the popular article submission sites allow authors to post their articles on their sites for free. Their are a few article submission sites that charge a small fee for posting and distributing articles, but it is a small price to pay for the quality service they provide. I feel that some of these sites are of better quality and service based on the fact that they do charge a fee and attract a higher valued client rather than some authors just looking for a free place to submit sub quality articles. In a sense it keeps the riffraff out. Many of the large reputable submission sites do review all articles submitted to them in order to assure quality articles are being posted on their site.
Article submission sites also provide a Webmaster with free articles who need content for their Website as long as they keep the article in tact and don not modify it in any way. This is a great way to build content on your website and feed the search bots with food to digest therefore improving your sites ranking.
Most of the top article directories usually require you to manually submit your articles and do not accept automatic submissions that could be generated by a computer email or software program. The reason for manual submissions are because they are looking for “real” authors and not some article spun gibberish. Manual submission sites require you to sign up for an account where you can log into your account and from there you can perform many beneficial tasks from tracking the number article views, author ranking, and a host of other great features.
When seeking out popular article submission sites you want to find sites that provide a high volume of traffic and rank high. One of the best tools you can use is Alexa. Alexa.com will provide stats on traffic ranking, page views, and related links. Sites with higher traffic rankings will undoubtedly provide more readers for your articles. These sites are the ones you want to concentrate on manually submitting your articles. A few of the top 10 sites I can recommend with high traffic ranking are: Ezine Articles, Digg, Isnare, Go Articles, Article City, Article Dashboard, Content Desk, and Article Alley.
As you can see, popular article submission sites are the ones that can inject your article marketing campaigns with a huge boost in free pre-targeted traffic. I’ll take free traffic over paid traffic any day of the week. Give them a try and see what a difference it will make. I know they have worked very well in my article submissions and they can work for you too.
To Your Success!

Affiliate programs are a great way to make a residual income. They allow you to take part in an established system that has already been tested and built up. All that is left to do is take control and build a down line. Combine an affiliate program with sound marketing equals a great way to make residual income.
Affiliate programs are often misunderstood. Originally the idea of building a down line and making a residual income off recruiting people was called a pyramid scheme. These pyramid schemes didn’t work because they relied solely on recruiting and not at all on selling. The basic idea behind them, though, was which resulted in the birth of the affiliate program. An affiliate program is more than building a down line of people. It includes selling real and useful products. Affiliate programs work because a person not only earns money through their down line but also through product sales.
These programs are also very easy to get started in and most are completely free with no costs to get started. Most programs offer a website and plenty of help and advice on how to get the business going. A person gets help from the people in their up line, too. The biggest challenge, though, is marketing. No matter how much help a person gets, they still have to learn the art of marketing on their own. Nobody can really teach someone how to be a successful marketer; they just have to learn it on their own.
Marketing involves learning how to use the tools provided by the program to get customers and sign others up for the opportunity. The affiliate program
will provide a person with written ads and a personal website. The website is the central hub of all the marketing efforts. The main goal should be to get people to visit the website. Once there they will be able to buy products and sign up to be an affiliate. The hard part is not getting people to buy or sign up, but to get them to the website in the first place.
A person has to take the ads and other marketing tools and place them where people will see them. One of the biggest marketing platforms is search engines. Most affiliate websites are quite, but with a little work a person can optimize it to make it rank high on the search engines. A good way to get started is to add a blog to the website and write entries everyday. These entries should be keyword rich and informative. Search engines like articles or blog entries and will assign the site a higher ranking if they have them. Another way to go is to place links and ads on other websites. A person should choose websites that compliment the affiliate program, but that are not in competition with their program. By using these marketing methods a person should be able to get a good start in marketing.
Affiliate programs and good marketing efforts can really help to get a good start in residual income. Building this type of program will take some time, but it is well worth it for the residual income that can be produced.

One of the quickest and the easiest way to generate extra income is through affiliate marketing on the Internet. You do not even need to stock your own goods or merchandise, you simply sell other people’s products, goods or services and in return, receive commissions by doing so. It is even possible to get started on affiliate marketing without having your own merchant number for credit card transactions nor your own website; however, having your own website is highly recommended.
Basically, affiliate marketing is simply promoting a company’s products, goods or services on the Internet and by doing this online promotion of company products and services, the website owner gets commissions! There is no need to have a brick and mortar store to showcase the products.
Additionally, setting up an online affiliate business is a lot easier compared to a regular business. Moreover, there are several affiliate networks and affiliate program directories on the Internet and the number increases every day.
Signing up as an affiliate marketer is easy, you simply go to an affiliate network or affiliate program directory to sign up for a partnership that fits your website’s area of focus. Major affiliate networks like ClickBank or Commission Junction literally have thousands of affiliate programs in all sorts of categories that you can think of.
You can also promote affiliate programs directly by using Google Adwords. With Google ads, you can literally start a product or service promotional campaign within 30 minutes! However, advertising with Google Adwords is getting more and more expensive as there are many people doing the same and there is so much competition.
Beginner’s Tips and Techniques on Successful Affiliate Marketing
1. Focus on a Specific Niche. Make sure that your website content is specifically targeted on a particular product or service niche in order to gain targeted web traffic. By doing this, you can then join all the affiliate programs related to your specialized niche. You can research on focused niches by performing searches on Yahoo!, Google or MSN. A good starting point is NicheBOT, it is an excellent resource and indispensable tool that can help you verify appropriate and specifically focused areas. NicheBOT has tools to research and pinpoint market niches for your website.
2. Provide a Solution. Do not simply engage in affiliate programs; make sure that the one you are promoting provides a solution to the client so that you will have repeat sales. Regardless of the demographics of your target market, the product or service you promote must penetrate and sell in the market in order for you to earn extra income.
Make your own research and then create your own marketing strategy. Identify your target market, their problems and requirements and find products that will provide solutions to their problems. Make sure that the products you find are solution-oriented and have affiliate programs so that you can sign up as an affiliate. Choose affiliate programs that provide solid back-end support in the form of web content to make it easier for you to sell their products and those that allow you to embed your own website links.
3. Use Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Judiciously. Create several mini-sites that focus on different keywords or keyword phrases to enable you to get free search engine listings and free traffic. However, do not simply rely on SEO ranking because it is becoming more complex. Stick to the basics and you will see your site’s profitability gradually increase over time. Do not waste your money in establishing search engine ranking in a short time. SEO requires knowledge, effort and time.
By implementing these 3 basic approaches to affiliate marketing, you will eventually become one of the leaders in your specific keyword phrase niche. As a leader in a particular keyword phrase niche, you will gain sizeable targeted traffic which eventually translates into a steady source of affiliate income.

I recently asked everyone for ideas for my new teen/young adult equestrian clothing store and i got barely any answers, so i am back to see what you guys think of the ideas i have in mind. Please any comments or suggestions would be great!
The store is an english riding store for women from the age of 13-27 because i am myself in that age range, and i have searched countlessly for a site with actually stylish equestrian clothing and have found only things for 6-12 year olds. I would be selling saddle pads, breeches, jeans, jewelry, chaps, saddle covers, cellphone charms, shirts, bags, and all with equestrians in mind with an upscale fashionable feel. I already have bought 10 domains but i cant decide between them.
Here they are:
Equine Chic Boutique
Fancy Filly
Hidden Horse Treasures
Hideaway Horse
Trotting Treasures
Elegant Equine Boutique
Greener Pastures Designs
Galloping Free
I am looking for something that sounds upscale like the new store Equine Couture. Thanks!
Fancy Filly, Trotting Treasures, and Elegant Equine Boutique are my favorites ^^ sounds like an awesome idea keep us posted because I will definetly be buying lol…STOCK UP ON CUTE SADDLE PADS haha *so I have a MINOR addiction* lol

Affiliates programs are those services which use advertisements to lead customers to the website of any company who does all the hard work, creates the products and promotes it. You just have to take the easy way of advertising the product.
How to choose an affiliate program?
There are some factors that you should consider before choosing any affiliate program:
1) The productâs worth: The product should be capable of generating profits. High commission values or multiple payments should not drive you. You need to analyze that:
⢠The product is capable enough to stand with the competition in the market, and generate enough sales, people would like to buy it or not.
⢠Your commission rate should be worth your efforts.
2) Sales page: The sales page of the product should be effective enough. You should prefer visiting the sales page of the product to check the effectiveness of the sales copy. But you should be careful to not to loose your commission.
3) Supports to affiliates: You should not be satisfied with just the link to join the affiliate program. The merchant should also provide you with supports to the affiliate program. For example, there should be useful promotional materials like ads, articles and reviews. Affiliate programs do have a mailing list so that the merchant can provide you with the latest news.
4) Number of affiliate programs: If you try to promote a large number affiliates in just one page, the effectiveness will be lost, until and unless they are about the same topic. But you can keep these affiliates in separate pages. The only to be considered here is the workload for you. You have to work upon the different ways for signing up; different ways to create affiliate links, methods of payments and handling ongoing communications for every program. The solution is to subscribe a company that contains many affiliate programs under one roof.
You donât want someone to steal your commission
There are a few link formats that are not protected. They have very simple formats and can if you show them in your e-mail messages or in your newsletters, you reader can use his own affiliate code, and hence he can claim his own commission on that product.
Hence, it is very important for you to protect your link, which can be done by:-
⢠Using a redirect file
⢠Using a short URL service
⢠Using an ad tracking link
But these are anyhow not the ideal solution, because the affiliate code can still be viewed on the affiliate sites. So, you can use an affiliate-cloning tool.

Ask questions first before you join an affiliate program. Do a little research about the choices of program that you intend to join into. Get some answers because they will be the deciding point of what you will be achieving later on.
Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge. So why settle for those that charge you some dollars before joining.
When do they issue the commission checks? Every program is different. Some issue their checks once a month, every quarter, etc. Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued.
What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is extremely important because this will tell you how much traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission from the sale.
How are referrals from an affiliates site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? You need to be confident on the program enough to track those people you refer from your site. This is the only way that you can credit for a sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is also important. This is because some visitors do not buy initially but may want to return later to make the purchase. Know if you will still get credit for the sale if it is done some months from a certain day.
What are the kinds of affiliate stats available? Your choice of affiliate program should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor of your site. A hit is the one clicking on the banner or text links.
Does the affiliate program also pay for the hits and impressions besides the commissions on sales? It is important that impressions and hits are also paid, as this will add to the earnings you get from the sales commission. This is especially important if the program you are in offers low sales to be able to hit ratio.
Who is the online retailer? Find out whom you are doing business with to know if it is really a solid company. Know the products they are selling and the average amount they are achieving. The more you know about the retailer offering you the affiliate program, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you and your site.
Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the business you yourself have generated. A two tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some two-tier programs are even paying small fees on each new affiliate you sponsor. More like a recruitment fee.
Lastly, what is the amount of commission paid? 5% - 20% is the commission paid by most programs. .01% - .05% is the amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also pays for impressions, the amount paid is not much at all. As you can see from the figures, you will now understand why the average sales amount and hit to sale ratio is important.
These are just some of the questions that needed answering first before you enter into an affiliate program. You should be familiar with the many important aspects that your chosen program should have before incorporating them into your website. Try to ask your affiliate program choices these questions. These can help you select the right program for you site from among the many available.

I’ll try to keep this brief.
About 4 years ago… was contracted to do an “adult site” by a “model” - Once the site was completed - (aproximately 15 hours work) - and I had it out there and hosted - My CLIENT called me and said: I have been picked up by “Playboy” (and she really was) - and the Playboy folks say I can’t have “self-run” sites. Therefore - “I don’t need the site - and you can take it down”.
I said fine - expecting that the next words out of her mouth would be: “I’ll send you a check or bring you some money”. However - The next words were - “I’m moving out to CA to live in the MANSION”… so thanks a lot.
I said: “hey what about my money?” she said: “I no longer need it so, I’m not paying for it.”
Since I’d already paid for hosting (for her) I kept it up for a while, just so she would be in VIOLATION of her CONTRACT. But that didn’t work really well, because she directed PLAYBOY CORPORATE to me. She gave them my address and phone numbers… and the asking, became threats, and then the lawyers got involved.
I took the site down - and considered it a LIFE LESSON.
And now the ETHICAL DELIMA begins:
About a month ago… I was cleaning up my WEB-DEVELOPMENT directory and I found about 500 PERSONALLY TAKEN (naked) pictures… Of a NOW FAMOUS PLAYBOY BUNNY - that nobody else has. I would imagine that these PICTURES would be VERY VALUABLE to the appropriate COLLECTOR. Although I couldn’t sell them on EBAY - I bet I could advertise on CRAIGSLIST, and make a BUNDLE.
These pictures were given me - to put up on her MEMBERS ONLY - PAY SITE. She’s surely forgotten I have them. HECK I FORGOT I HAD THEM.
Ethically they don’t really BELONG to me. But ethically she should have paid me for my work and at least the money I put out to HOST and register her DOMAIN NAME.
What do YOU think?
The pictures are in a directory… they are in ELECTRONIC format. To destroy them ALL I need to is DELETE. I also (just found) the CD that she gave me with them on it. I could crack that.
If you can PROVE that she contracted with you, you can claim this back through an action, if she gave you these pictures then you may just have a case even without any other written or physical evidence that there was an agreement, especially if they were sent by electronic means, that you have records for, or by post if you have got the envelope with her writing so much the better, but there is an alternative here that you may want to consider, and it's a doozie, so listen carefully, I shall say this only once…
Any material sent through the US postal system is sent under the understanding that it is subject to regulations governing fraud, and this constitutes a fraud if they were sent with the intent OR consequent failure to meet financial obligations, as a result, at the very least what this woman is guilty of, is postal fraud, and worst, multiple charges for each and every time ( I.E. photos seperately, and collectively), talk to a postal inspector about this matter ( your local P.O.will tell you how to contact one ), Then speak to a lawyer, and send a letter informing Playboy about this matter, and your intent to proceed down this path. against the woman involved, as well as claim expenses for all matters including lawyers fees, caused by them in this matter, as this precedes their contract with this woman, and also point out that it is none of there business if you do so, as they are not parties to this agreement they should stop sending mail intended to intimidate, or you will seek an injuction to prevent them taking any part of this matter to court, and preventing them contacting you, or having them declared as "vexatious" litigants if they try….and do not get the idea that this will be treated lightly, by the post office, this is how they got some major criminal enterprises, and the sentences are 20 years on each conviction !
Also precede by publishing these photos if the site is still operational, as it will diminish her market value when you do, the fact that they are not yours does not preclude you posting them under your contract, as stated by you, a verbal agreement is enforceable in most cases and the fact that you are in possession will go in your favour, unless she can prove otherwise, but if you have cancelled the site do not try, as she has said that she does not want to employ you to do this, just what agreement did you reach, as to termination of services, when you spoke to her about this, ?
You could try threatening to sell them, to another site owner, or simply giving her photos away after informing her that they are in your lawyers possession and you intend to recover your expenses, by selling them onwards, that could get a response, if you have started an action she can not get them back, if they constitute evidence for a contractual, obligation while the case has not been heard, by a court…
Pretty women are taught by this world, that beauty is all, and most never learn that others have rights to fair treatment, and there will be tears and tantrums, but if you have done this work, you deserve payment, just make sure that all future contracts are in writing and include an expenses section, for non compliance with it's terms….or for non completion expenses…
Despite everything, this woman is a total sh!t as far as honesty is concerned, do not feel at all surprised or any sympathy for her if she gets away with this, someone else will pay further down the line,if she is trying to become famous, a court hearing may delay that substantially, she is not in a strong position and Playboy is not either, they are trying a major bluff here, by implying that they are her contractors, and hence all obligations from her, are theirs, your contract precedes their interests, so she can not have contracted solely to them, until her obligations to you, were first met, and discharged, they have no valid contract as she was not free to do so, by virtue of existing obligations and if "push", comes to "shove", they will back down, and put pressure on her to fulfill payment in return for a "silence" payment to you, preventing any future comment on this matter, by any party to this case…..letting her know that this is the case, may bring her to her senses, if she feels that the Playboy contract can be invalidated without costs to them, by virtue of her failure to deal with the prior commitments she has made, she did not have a valid right to sign with them, and this would be an illegal contract and illegal contracts, to commit an illegal act, are in themselves illegal, it would cost them nothing to walk away from this matter at all…but would cost her plenty, and what may be her only real chance in life, and this is no small thing she has done….
AND ALWAYS GET WRITTEN CONTRACTS AND KEEP PROPER RECORDS IN FUTURE
