I have a new set of template for my website which forces me to change all the available pages i currently have i.e. start from scratch.
I need to know how I can put up my new site to my webhost without having my old site taken down and getting de-indexed.
(Google rankings plays an important part to my website as my website is purely online and getting de-indexed means losing my revenue)
1) Do I just simply redirect my domain to the new page?
2) What will happen to the old pages that are currently indexed in Google?
2.1) Will the old pages still overshadow the new pages once the latter gets indexed?
3) How do I redirect to my new site? Simply forward the domain name to the new page? Do I have to do anything else?

Are you trying to change the layout only or the website address too.
If it is only Layout (Design) then you simply upload the new design pages (but the name of the pages should be same as it was before) googlebot will index in next crawl. nothing else you have to do.
If you want to change the filenames as well then it will be a problem to get ranking for those new pages.
If you want to use redirects, 301 is best as it is also search engine friendly.
(This question has bee naskec before and only got 1 reply. "Not much really about 100bucks to buy the domain name and they get money from advertisers." Well, I disagree with this answer, I want to know what other people think? I know that the storage space used on facebook must be massive, the bandwidth astronomical! So what is the real cost? Also Pay per click ads dont make that much revenue. Facebook is estimates to be worth US$8billion. So how much does it cost to run? (Oh and yeah, its a big market research engine, thats where the money comes from.)

Yes a lot is off set by advertising income but that also takes time to build.

I have an idea of creating a page that will help foreigners living in Japan with dealing with a certain Japanese-only shopping site.
What I want to do is make a page in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French where you could surf through the menus, all on my site, with only the final selection of the whole menu leading to other website’s page. For example, if you are looking to see how much is Nintendo Wii, you would search through menues on my website like:
Electronics>Game Consoles>Nintendo (all this on my website) >Wii (other website’s page).
When the final selection’s link is pressed, it will take you to the other commercial website’s page and show the price and details, in Japanese, but at least a non-Japanese speaker will be able to reach that information.
Is this legal? Do I need to ask for their permission? Can I ask them for a piece of the revenue coming through my website? Can I be sued if I use a domain name that comprises their domain?
Please help….

I think the best way to answer your question is with a question:
Have you seen many websites that do NOT have links to other web sites, commercial or otherwise?
I think not.
I don’t think you CAN compromise another web site as all sites must be registered by the authorities that grant privilege for a site’s name use.
Your idea of compensation is a beauty, if I were you I would include a usage counter to keep track of surfers that click on a site from your page.
That will give you a bargaining point to approach the sites you want to include on your site and perhaps make a deal with you re: forwarding your guest.
BUT how will you determine if the "customer" purchased an item, for you to be compensated even if you make arrangements to do so?
Contact a Webmaster to explore the capabilities, you may start something "fantastic" here if you are diligent with this idea.
I have parked several domain names with sedo.co.uk where if people click on an advert on my parked page i receive a percentage of the revenue that the advertisers pay sedo, but i am not sure if people will come across my parked page without typing in the exact url of my page.Will my page show in the search results if people type in very similar search words?

Not unless you have submitted your webs to the different search engines. Without that, no search engine will know that your web address exists and will not therefore show your web as a result. Only those using the sedo.co.uk web may find it if they list your web.
I would suggest you type in SES or Search Engine Submission in your browser and read up a bit on what it involves as you would have to add keywords, descriptions, page titles etc. to get any results. A bit of a lengthy explanation to give here.
