It cannot be taken from you unless you have violated the URDP rules (took it hostage for trademark value), but you may have to show you had some valid reason for selecting that URL. Domain names can be extremely valuable to the owners of related trademarks, so $500 would sound like the lowest possible price (wouldn't even cover your attorney fees to review the contract).
