How should a beginner create a Website inexpensively and easily?
I would like my own domain name and Web site. What is the nicest looking, easiest way to go about accomplishing this?
There are lots of sources which can provide you the whole package in a very cheap prices. You can select design for your website from a bunch of templates & publish it after editing information.
They are very user friendly.
If you are planning to launch you website to sell you skills then you can also use other sources also, which provide you a platform to promote & sell you skills online.
Thanks
Ben

MS FrontPage if you are really going to do more that the basic, otherwise your isp probably provides the basic tools you need to just slap up a page. I use directnic.com. I love the ability to create email aliases. I give each business its own email address. BestBuy@YourDomain.com, ATT@YourDomain.com and then forward them to my main address. If I start to get junk mail from one of them I know who gave my address out and I kill that forwarding address. Good luck.

For this you will have to follow two steps:
1. Buy a domain name
2. Buy a hosting (according to your requirement)
You can do these by registering them on any of these sites:
1. http://www.godaddy.com
2. http://www.dreamhost.com
3. http://www.domainhost.com
etc

You can buy domain names for under $10, then have them hosted with a hosting company. Many companies have hosting ranging from $1 to $8 a month, depending on how much space, how many websites etc you are parking there.
For your needs you can probably just use a $1 – $3 month hosting deal (eg. hostsmart), which will allow you to use template programs (included in your fee) to get up an easy, nice looking web site, without having to buy front page or any other expensive web editing program.
There are many hosting companies around that offer many types of deals and software availabilites.
You can also set up free sites at http://www.blogger.com, but they will give you a subdomain name, not a whole domain name.
Another company – 101sitehosting allow you to spend $29.99 a year, including a domain name and hosting with Instant site builder.
Many domain name selling and web hosting company links at http://www.websitesetup.info
Probably like most things when you buy a cheap account, you may find you will like to upgrade to a more expensive account down the track when you want more web space, more bandwidth etc, but the cheaper accounts will probably be fine for you to start up.
