Changing a Domain name….?

We have found that our existing domain name is very similar to another, unrelated business’ name. It is also generic or does not really indicate what our business is.

I would like to create a new domain name that is more specific.

What is the simplest and best approach to keeping the existing domain but having visitors seamlessly sent to the new domain w/o adversely affecting search placement results?

(All of our marketing materials and email addresses, etc. all have the current domain, so we are loathe to just up and replace the existing one…)

Domain forwarding – the company that hosts your site can set it up for you.

It’s pretty simple. I have five domains that all go to one site (in case of misspellings).
