Register on MyChores with OpenID

OpenID, ID Selector and a demonstration of how to register on MyChores.co.uk. Several sites provide OpenID for you to use to authenticate on other sites, without needing a separate password. Examples are AOL, Yahoo, LiveJournal, Technorati, Wordpress … Alternatively you can register with a site like MyOpenID, ClaimID or Verisign simply for the purpose of providing an OpenID that you can use across multiple OpenID-enabled sites. See openid.net for more details! MyChores now uses the fantastic ID Selector from idselector.com – you can see how it works in this demonstration. It makes OpenID registration and login even easier.

Could I register a Federal TradeMark, and then go sue the person who has a .com with it and take it?

Could I register a Federal TradeMark, and then go sue the person who has a .com with the trademark name in it then sue them for trade mark infringement and force them to turn over the domain? I know it sounds preposterous, but according to our stupid trademark infringement laws this might seem legal.

What if they had the domain registered before I had the trademark?

And, what if they already have the domain, then I register the federal TM, but then their domain expires, then they renew it, then technically they registered a domain AFTER I owned the trademark, thus making it trademark infringement.

I’m tired of people bullying me out of domains that only have ONE word out of their multi word trade mark, so I’m just seeing if there is any way to “give back to the community” exploiting our beloved US laws.

I don’t know how kMART.com got away with it without infringement with walMART.com because they both provide the same service.
More details.. let me reiterate the fact that the website I would be trying to legally take over does NOT have any trade mark on the words used in their domain.

Ex. some body buys ILOVEFUZZYCATS.com, but doesnt own a trade mark.. they just run their own little website.

Then I go trademark the name (”ILOVEFUZZYCATS”). Could I then sue them for TM infringement and have their domain taken away?

What is the least expensive way to register a domain name? How long does it last? Can I choose my host later?

I’d like to register a domain name. I’m not going to use it for anything right now; I just want to reserve it for my website in the future (possibly a couple years or more from now).

So, what’s the cheapest way, and how long does it last? If I register it at one site, am I “locked in” to using that site to renew the registration when it expires?

And, am I locked into that site to host my content when I’m ready? In other words, can I choose to register my domain on one site and choose a completely different site to host the content?

Thanks!

Will I be able to register a domain the day it expires?

According to who-is info, I have obtained information on a domain that I want to own. It’s my name, nothing popular. This domain has been dead, as in, the owner hasn’t put anything on the web, just owned the domain. UNTIL 1/23/09!!!! That is when this domain expires. I already own a domain, and know that you can have your domain company “auto-renew” your domains, which if he did have that in this case, I don’t think I would have a chance at it.

When does this domain expire on 1/23/09, and will I be able to register it the day it expires IF he doesn’t have auto-renew enabled?

The best answer, will obviously get best answer.

Do not register for a free domain on DOT.TK?

Dot.tk is a giant parking page SCAM set up to lure you in by offering FREE domains only to bait and switch you once your website traffic starts rolling on in.

In my case, they stole several of my high traffic domains without any notice and parked them to earn money from the back link traffic. No notice was sent to me as to why, nor was I able to reclaim them by any means. My phone calls and faxes fell upon-deaf ears as well.

Webmasters beware! I confirmed this by setting up dummy domain and then blasting it with visitors. Once the count goes to be above 500 per day, the domain mysteriously disappeared from my account!

Another poor aspect of this company is that they do not respond to email contact…that is, if you can find any!
I will never recommend to anyone to use this TLD for registering any domain. You’re much better off with a .info compared to these crooks.

“Your domain will be reclaimed by them and parked at sedo parking once you are popular.”
