HDTVNEWS REVIEW: GEORGE CLOONEY ON PLAYING FANTASTIC MR FOX: Stars of Fantastic Mr Fox, including George Clooney and Bill Murray, have walked the red carpet as the movie launched the London Film Festival. But the public in general was very disappointed by missing beloved and highly talented star, Meryl Streep, who stayed in the US because she had flu! (she voices Mrs Fox in the film version of Roald Dahl’s book). However another very highly awaited Hollywood Star George Clooney signed autographs for fans in Leicester Square…Earlier, at the press conference full of great sense of humor, he was asked about his plans to settle down and he joked that he intended to “adopt Brad Pitt’s kids”. As usual he always has a great sense of humor! The gala screening and World Premiere, were also attended by actor David Morrissey, fabulously beautiful supermodel Cindy Crawford (and her husband Rande GERBER), also presenter Jonathan Ross and film director Gurinder Chada… All launched the 53rd London Film Festival. Many Stars of stage and screen attended the premiere of Fantastic Mr Fox. Attending the Premiere was a real treat, as a very glamourous event – a premiere as you can see in some Hollywood classics- , as great you can imagine, with a setting worth the setting of a film itself, of some Hollywood classics recording Stars entering at their premiere, worth the big screen in itself !… A modest Wes Anderson, the film Director, said the voices of Oscar winners George Clooney and Meryl Streep, among others, had been the real driving forces behind the film, which was made using stop-motion animation. ‘One thing I learned during the course of the movie was how much the voices of these actors give to the animators to work with. ‘You record the voices first and the animators spend all their time animating these puppets, but their inspirations come from these moments with these actors.”Director Wes Anderson, previous films includes The Royal Tenenbaums and The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou. He said: “This was actually the first book I ever personally owned, which was officially my property.” “It introduced me to Roald Dahl’s books in general,” he continued. “It made a big impression on me.” George Clooney said he had doubts about who would watch the film. “I’m not sure who’s gonna see it – it’s sort of made for grown-ups and it’s also made for kids and you never know how that plays”.”Wes said, ‘don’t worry about it, let’s just go make movie and have some fun’ and I think that’s a great way to approach making a film.”
Fantastic Mr Fox is the tale of a fox! A greatly intelligent fox! One who decides to go back to his old thieving ways… the archetype of the heroe, so with some adventure on the way, and … i.e. to deal as usual with disastrous consequences… No Heroe without things to be confronted!!! to be solved.
